Will BRUCE
"Viper Zero"
Lead Mentor & Founder
Brucey has been riding since 2006 on a variety of motorcycles and spent 7 years serving in the SO16 Diplomatic Protection Group of the Metropolitan Police in London, where he was a member of "The Wing" - performing armed response, VIP escort, and counter-terrorism duties in both overt & covert capacities around the UK.
A great deal of his work featured on two wheels and he is proud to be a graduate of the prestigious MPS Hendon Driving School under tutelage from one of the most respected veteran instructors - Paul Tracey.
Brucey is a member of the UK Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists and works with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in the UK to continually improve the Rider mentoring program on offer at RSHK.
He is passionate about rider education, safety, and continuing development. He absolutely believes that the key to reducing HK's rider incident figures starts with awareness & education of the soft skills of riding - and is a devoted advocate of Roadcraft - the system of motorcycle
(and car) control.
Ed BARNES
"Recoil 1"
Senior Roadcraft Mentor
Support Vehicle Commander
Ed is one of RSHK's Senior Mentors, focusing on car and convoy based specialisms. Ed's work in the Close Protection industry has taken him to multiple High Threat Environments, both as an operator as well as Driver.
With over 20 years in the protection circuit, and holding international close protection along with Defensive & Offensive Advanced Driving certifications - RSHK is proud to have Ed on the team to share his expertise.
Ed believes that through the enhancing of general road awareness around Riders and drivers, coupled with a better understanding of Roadcraft and dynamics - RSHK's mission to reduce road-related incidents is achievable.
Ed provides important four-wheeled feedback on our Level 3 Advanced course, taking the perception of the ride beyond just the bike. He usually commands the support vehicle which has the important role of providing carrying capacity for the sessions, and also protective defense for our riders whilst in session as they hone their skills.
